Two men rushed to hospital after being discovered unconscious in Mountjoy Prison

The men were discovered overnight.

TWO MEN HAVE were brought to hospital this morning after being discovered unresponsive in their prison cells at Mountjoy.

The men, who are in their 30s, were discovered as prison officers opened cell doors as part of their morning duties.

One man is in a critical condition while the other was treated in hospital and has been returned to Mountjoy.

An investigation is ongoing.
